Inspiring Indians - Ishita Katyal

An author, a dancer, a singer, a basketball player and a TedX Speaker, Ishita Katyal has excelled at everything she worked for and she is just 11. A die-hard fan of Ruskin Bond and a student of Vibgyor High in Balewadi, Pune, Ishita was just 10 when she delivered a speech at Ted Youth Conference in New York.

Her association with TEDX started in 2013 when she attended TEDX Pune. She was immensely impressed with the whole event and immediately contacted the organizers and became a part of the TEDX Pune team. Her passion towards the event won everyone’s heart and she spearheaded the TEDx Youth@Balewadi, thus becoming the youngest person to conduct such an event at the age of eight. In her latest talk, Ishita spoke her heart out to inspire kids to dream.

And this is not it. Ishita has also authored a book at the age of 8. Her book ‘Simran’s Diary’ focused on all the things that go in a child’s mind and why these things are supposed to be taken seriously.

Talents come in all sizes. But Ishita Katyal is one extraordinarily gifted kid. Don’t we all agree?
