2018-19

In the academic year 2018-2019, the essay competition is scheduled to start shortly. The theme for the 2018-19 edition is “Lessons for Modern India from Mahatma Gandhi’. and It is targeted to reach out to 450 schools and 14 cities.

The cities are:

2017-18

The 8 th edition of this competition in the Kannada language is targeting the participation of 180000 across 14 set of cities and 450 Kannada medium schools in Karnataka. the theme for this year's competition is "New India @ 70 and your Contribution".

17-18-City level winners are identified and felicitated ,The process of evaluation for selecting National level winners are in progress.

2015-16

The 6 th edition of this competition in the Kannada language has touched 14 set of cities and 450 Kannada medium schools in Karnataka. The theme of 2015-16 edition was "Digital Technology for Better India". City level winners have been felicitated at an event hosted in Bengaluru.

The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Mr. N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, and senior leaders from the Tata group, with the national winners of the 2015-16 edition of ‘Tata Building India School Essay Competition’ at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on January 12, 2018.

The national winners of the 2015-16 edition of Tata Building India School Essay Competition got a chance to meet the Honorable President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi and got a once in lifetime opportunity to take a tour of the Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 12, 2018.

The young achievers were further felicitated by Mr. Harish Bhat, Brand Custodian, Tata Sons Ltd at a function held on the same day in New Delhi.

The 5 th edition of this competition in the Kannada language nearly 1.8 lakh students participated across 14 set of cities and 450 Kannada medium schools in Karnataka. The theme for 2014-15 competition was "Clean India".

National winners have been felicitated on 8 th Dec 2016 at New Delhi.

The City level winners were felicitated at a function organized at Bengaluru.

The 4th edition of this competition in the Kannada language nearly 1.6 lakh students participated across 14 set of cities and 434 Kannada medium schools in Karnataka. The City level winners were felicitated at City level function organized at Bengaluru. The National Level winners for 2013-14 were felicitated on 4 th Dec. 2015 at New Delhi and also got a once in a life time opportunity to see and admire the Rashtrapati Bhavan as a special guided tour was arranged for them.. The theme for 2013-14 competition was "Happy & Prosperous Nation" .

The 3rd edition of this competition in the Kannada language was launched in October, 2012. Nearly 1.6 lakh students participated across 12 cities and 400 Kannada medium schools in Karnataka.

The cities were include:

1) Bengaluru 2) Hubli - Dharwar 3) Mysore 4) Gulbarga 5) Belgaum 6) Mangalore
7) Davengere 8) Bellary 9) Shimoga 10) Tumkur 11) Bijapur 12) Raichur

The winners at city level were felicitated in Bengaluru. The National Level winners for 2012-13 were felicitated on 4 th Dec. 2015 at New Delhi and also got a once in a life time opportunity to see and admire the Rashtrapati Bhavan as a special guided tour was arranged for them.The theme for 2012-13 competition is "Science & Technology for India" .

 

2011-12

The 2nd edition of this competition in the Kannada language was launched in October, 2011. Nearly 2 lakh students participated across 12 cities and 400 Kannada medium schools in Karnataka.

The cities were include:

1) Bengaluru 2) Hubli - Dharwar 3) Mysore 4) Gulbarga 5) Belgaum 6) Mangalore
7) Davengere 8) Bellary 9) Shimoga 10) Tumkur 11) Bijapur 12) Raichur

The theme for 2011-12 competition was "Clean and Green Nation". The city level winners for Kannada were felicitated at Delhi in the month of July 2012. The National winners got an opportunity to meet the President on 2nd April 2013 and also got a once in a life time opportunity to see and admire the Rashtrapati Bhavan as a special guided tour was arranged for them.

 

2010-11

The 1st edition of this competition in the Kannada language was launched in October. Nearly 1.5 lakh students participated across 12 cities and 400 Kannada medium schools in Karnataka.

The cities were include:

1) Bengaluru 2) Hubli - Dharwar 3) Mysore 4) Gulbarga 5) Belgaum 6) Mangalore
7) Davengere 8) Bellary 9) Shimoga 10) Tumkur 11) Bijapur 12) Raichur

 

The city level winners were felicitated in October-December 2011. The National winners got an opportunity to meet the President on 2nd April 2013 and also got a once in a life time opportunity to see and admire the Rashtrapati Bhavan as a special guided tour was arranged for them.
