2018-19

In the academic year 2018-2019, the essay competition is scheduled to start shortly. The theme for the 2018-19 edition is "Lessons for Modern India from Mahatma Gandhi". and It is targeted to reach out to 400 schools in  12 cities,

The cities are:

1) Berhampur 2) Bhubaneswar 3) Baragarh 4) Baripada 5) Cuttack 6) Chatrapur
7) Jagatsinghpur 8) Jajpur 9) Keonjhar 10) Nayagarh 11) Puri 12) Rourkela

 

2017-18

In the 8 th edition of this competition in the Oriya language is targeting participation of 160000 students in 12 cities and 400 Oriya medium schools in Orissa. The theme for this year's competition is "New India @ 70 and your Contribution".

17-18-City level winners are identified and felicitated ,The process of evaluation for selecting National level winners are in progress.

2016-17

In the 7 th edition of this competition in the Oriya language witnessed participation of 162148 students in 12 cities and 400 Oriya medium schools in Orissa.

16-17-The National winners were felicitated on 14th Feb 2019 in an event in New Delhi and met the Hon. President of India. Please visit the Images gallery and winner essay section for more details.

2015-16

In the 6 th edition of this competition in the Oriya language reached to 141351 students in 12 cities and 400 Oriya medium schools in Orissa. The city level winners were felicitated at Bhubaneswar.

The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Mr. N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, and senior leaders from the Tata group, with the national winners of the 2015-16 edition of ‘Tata Building India School Essay Competition’ at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on January 12, 2018.

The national winners of the 2015-16 edition of Tata Building India School Essay Competition got a chance to meet the Honorable President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi and got a once in lifetime opportunity to take a tour of the Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 12, 2018.

The young achievers were further felicitated by Mr. Harish Bhat, Brand Custodian, Tata Sons Ltd at a function held on the same day in New Delhi.

In the 5 th edition of this competition in the Oriya language. Nearly 80 Thousand students participate across 8 cities and 250 Oriya medium schools in Orissa.The city level winners were felicitated at Bhubaneswar.

National winners have been felicitated on 8 th Dec 2016 at New Delhi.

2013-14

In the 4 th edition of this competition in the Oriya language. Nearly 1.6 lakh students participate across 12 cities and 400 Oriya medium schools in Orissa.

1) Cuttack 2) Bhubaneswar 3) Jajpur 4) Jagatsinghpur 5) Keonjhar 6) Bhadrak
7) Sambalpur 8) Baragarh 9) Rourkela 10) Nayagarh 11) Berhampur (Brahmapur) 12) Bhawanipatna

The City level winners were felicitated at City level function organized at Bhubaneswar. The National Level winners for 2013-14 were felicitated on 4 th Dec. and also got a once in a life time opportunity to see and admire the Rashtrapati Bhavan as a special guided tour was arranged for them 2015 at New Delhi. The theme for 2013-14 competition was "Happy & Prosperous Nation" winner essays are displayed on the website.

The 3rd edition of this competition in the Oriya language was launched in October, 2012. Nearly 1.6 lakh students participated across 12 cities and 400 The winners at city level were felicitated in Bhubaneswar. The National Level winners for 2012-13 were felicitated on 4 th Dec. 2015 at New Delhi and also got a once in a life time opportunity to see and admire the Rashtrapati Bhavan as a special guided tour was arranged for them.

The theme for 2012-13 competition is "Science & Technology for India" winner essays are displayed on the website

The 2nd edition of this competition in the Oriya language was launched in October, 2011. Nearly 1 lakh students participated across 12 cities and 400 Oriya medium schools in Orissa. The theme for 2011-12 competition was "Clean and Green Nation".The winners at city level were felicitated in July 2012 at Bhubaneshwar. The National winners got an opportunity to meet the President on 2nd April 2013 and also got a once in a life time opportunity to see and admire the Rashtrapati Bhavan as a special guided tour was arranged for them

The 1st edition of this competition in the Oriya language was launched in October, 2010. Nearly 1 lakh students participated across 12 cities and nearly 400 Oriya medium schools in Orissa.

7) Sambalpur 8) Baleshwar 9) Baripada 10) Bhadrak 11) Bolangir 12) Dhenkanal

The city level winners were felicitated in December 2011. The National winners got an opportunity to meet the President on 2nd April 2013 and also got a once in a life time opportunity to see and admire the Rashtrapati Bhavan as a special guided tour was arranged for them.
